The project
In order to strengthen the development of a country’s mining sector, it has been decided to make :
- A better inventory of mineral resources
- Technical and financial strategies for industrial development
- Strategies for developing deposits
- Human resources development strategies
- Implementation of legal and regulatory texts related to these strategies
Cayambe took part in the description of processes and, in the environmental and social fields, in the drafting of HSE requirements to be met by future investors and developers on reference minerals identified as development levers
Our experts
Six international experts were mobilized to carry out this project:
- Two specialists in environmental and social standards
- Three specific experts on certain mining developments
- An expert specializing in HSE projects
The project was carried out over 6 months by a project manager associated with the Cayambe Mining Sector Manager.
The actions
The actions carried out by the mobilized team were as follows:
- Carry out in-depth geological studies to identify and evaluate mineral resources
- Use modern mapping and prospecting technologies to obtain accurate data
- Set up centralized, up-to-date databases to store information on mineral resources
- Carry out economic and technical analyses to identify minerals suitable for industrial development
- Develop specific strategic plans, taking into account technical, financial and commercial aspects
- Identify potential partners and investors to support the industrial development and exploitation of deposits
