The project
This project aims to provide consultancy support to a major industrial group in the development and implementation of an effective agricultural strategy. As a world leader in the phosphate industry, the company plays a key role in supporting agriculture and food security. This project will involve analyzing agricultural needs, identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic plans and providing recommendations to enhance the sustainability, efficiency and profitability of the agricultural practices supported by the industrial group.

The project is run over 2 years by a project manager and technically supervised by the Cayambe Agriculture/Agronomy Manager.
The actions
The team set up by Cayambe carried out the following actions:
- Assess the country’s current and future agricultural needs, taking into account factors such as food demand, resource availability, existing agricultural practices and environmental challenges
- Identify priority agricultural sectors that will benefit from the industrial group’s support, focusing on key crops, livestock, irrigation, soil management and innovative farming techniques
- Develop detailed strategic plans in collaboration with the group, defining objectives, performance indicators, priority actions, required resources and timelines for the implementation of agricultural initiatives
- Provide technical recommendations to improve agricultural practices, particularly in the areas of fertilization, water resource management, crop protection, disease control and sustainable soil management techniques
- Design training programs for farmers, agricultural technicians and players in the agricultural industry to improve their skills and knowledge in the areas identified
